Privacy Policy

Phantas, LLC provides the Phantas website and app. Here’s how we handle your information.

Information we use

We use account details, session activity, check-ins and messages you provide to run Phantas and support you. Beta requests send your email to our team through our email provider so we can contact you about testing; you can request removal at any time. The website uses cookies and browser storage for preferences and analytics, including visits, device information and referrals. Payment providers handle payment details. iPhone session history and imported health readings are saved on your phone; connected features also use our servers. Our account and hosting services record operational and security information, including IP addresses, approximate location inferred from them (city, region, postal code and country), request details, response status and errors, to run, troubleshoot and protect Phantas.

Optional health connections

With your permission, Apple Health provides heart rate and heart rate variability. Oura can provide heart rate, sleep, readiness, stress and oxygen summaries. These readings help you review your sessions. Apple Health readings stay on your iPhone. Our server processes Oura readings for your iPhone through your Phantas account and securely stores connection credentials; the readings are also saved on your phone. Our hosting provider's operational logs may retain response data, including Oura readings, under its retention practices. We do not sell your personal information or use health readings for advertising, product analytics or AI generation.

Optional AI features

AI features send the text you enter to a provider to create suggestions or session content. On iPhone, we ask permission before sending your intention and chosen duration to OpenAI. We do not attach your health readings, check-ins or session history. Avoid entering sensitive information. Providers may retain requests under their own policies.

Optional iPhone usage sharing

On iPhone, usage sharing is off until you choose to enable it. It sends session starts, outcomes, listening duration and generation success or failure to PostHog using a random installation identifier. It does not include your prompt text, generated narration, email, check-ins or health readings. Turning sharing off stops future collection, clears pending events and resets that identifier. Events already received follow our analytics provider’s configured retention; contact us to request their deletion.

Optional prompt sharing

A separate iPhone choice lets you share the prompts you enter so the Phantas team can read them and understand what people want from sessions. This is off by default and is not required to create a session. When enabled, we privately store your prompt with the chosen duration, generation outcome and permission record. Shared prompts expire after 30 days and are removed by scheduled cleanup; we keep your sharing preference until you change it or delete your account. If you also enable usage sharing, a request identifier can connect that prompt to playback outcomes. We do not attach health readings or check-in answers. Turning prompt sharing off requests deletion of retained shared prompts; account deletion also removes them. This does not change the AI provider’s separate processing or retention.

How information is shared

We use service providers for hosting, accounts, analytics, payments, email and AI. They process information needed for those services and may operate outside your country. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and security.

Your choices and deletion

Health connections and AI are optional. Revoke Apple Health access in its settings or disconnect Oura in Phantas. Use available app controls to delete local data, or email us to access, correct or delete your information and account. Browser and iPhone accounts are currently separate. Deleting Phantas data does not delete originals held by Apple Health or Oura. We stop accessing Oura data when you disconnect and delete Oura user data within 72 hours of a deletion request.

How long we keep information

Local data stays until you delete it. We retain account information and connection credentials while needed to provide the service, and limited records where required for legal, payment or security purposes. Some operational and security records and backups may remain after account deletion under our service providers' retention practices. We update this policy as Phantas changes and seek permission before expanding optional health-data use.
